Ovulation On Day 14 A Fact Or Myth

Most women have been taught that ovulation occurs on day 14 of their menstrual cycle. Armed with this knowledge, many of them set their sexual activities around day 14 to increase the chances of conception or abstain from intercourse around the same time if they wish to avoid pregnancy.Fertile Balance Banner

But despite adhering to this pattern, there’s still a lot of women failing to conceive and getting pregnant when they thought they shouldn’t be.

Well, the truth is – ovulation occurring on day 14 is a myth. If you’ve been misled by this belief for a long time now, then it’s time to update your facts.

Ovulation, the process wherein mature eggs are released from a female’s ovaries, generally happens on day 14 after the first day of your last menstrual period. But this is, by far, not the rule.

The timing of a woman’s ovulation is triggered by many factors such as age, hormonal imbalance, weight gain, stress, and sleep disruption. Considering this, ovulation may occur at the onset of menstrual bleeding and much later than day 14.

Because the different elements that bring about ovulation can vary or be interrupted, it’s safe to say that ovulation can occur at any point in the menstrual cycle and not precisely the day 14 that so many women once believed.

Given the fact that the Big O does not necessarily fall on day 14, calculating the best time to conceive is made more difficult for women who are trying to get pregnant. Subsequently, unexpected pregnancies are highly likely to happen in females who are unaware of their ovulation days.

To help women in estimating when ovulation occurs, the Fertility Awareness Method is recommended. FAM is a non-invasive and convenient method of predicting a female’s most fertile days through keeping a record of the menstrual cycle, taking the Body Temperature (BBT), and examining cervical mucus consistency.

But we must also consider that FAM is not 100 percent effective particularly in females who are struggling with hormonal irregularities. Hence, it is equally significant for women to achieve balance in their hormones.

Female hormone balance supplement and Fertile Balance Cream, an organic progesterone cream are effective in achieving hormonal balance.

FHB contains natural herbs and extracts such as Black Cohosh, Dong Quai, Vitex Berry, Red Clover, Sage Extract, False Unicorn, Squaw Vine, Blessed Thistle, and Mexican Wild Yam, which have been used for centuries in cleansing the endocrine system and developing the female reproductive system.

Happy PMS Cream, on the other hand, is a 100% all natural progesterone cream that provides the body with bioidentical progesterone – a female sex hormone vital in maintaining a healthy, normal menstrual cycle.

To sum up, a woman’s most fertile days or what’s considered as her ovulation days may differ from one female body to another. It is essential that all women become conscious of their menstrual cycle and reproductive health to prevent or improve the chances of pregnancy.
