Here is an email we received from a concerned women we call A. Our response is below the spotting question.

Question: I have been looking at your site and wanted to inquire about my spotting issue.

I have been off of BC for a year now ( was on it for 9). Initally after the pill I had normal periods, then things went haywire around month 6.

Currently, I spot around 6-7 days after ovulation every cycle. Then I start AF 7 days later (14 dpo). Is it impossible to get pregnant when this happens?

Our Answer:
Often times the bleeding just continues but becomes spotting because there is so little left. Depending upon how long this is going on will determine if you should be concerned.

Here would be the schedule possibly: May 24th – ovulation – May 31 – implantation spotting – June 6th – period due – spotting and now it would put you at about 2 weeks pregnant.

My period skipped last month and I know it was because of stress. Yesterday I noticed some spotting, but it was only a one time occurrence.
