About Us

Beyond Fertility was started by a woman who shared the same passions as I do; being a wife, mom and writer, particularly writing about fertility.  We met in mutual "internet circles" and purchased products from each other and shared stories. Over time we discovered that we had the same interest; helping couples to conceive against all odds.  My desire is that you might not only overcome nfertility but become whole body healthy leading to a new found fertility.

This is how my website WholeFamilyHealth.com was birthed.  I wanted to take couples beyond trying to conceive into the world of being healthy; feeling great; overcoming other health issues in their lives so that someone would be there as the "miracle babies" grew up.

For Lori it was through 16 months of trying to conceive her 3rd baby that she came to the self-education of human reproduction through the reading of many books, magazines, websites, speaking with doctors, nurses and others traveling the same path to parenthood through her own personal experiences.

And so here at BeyondFertility.com we desire to share with others what we have learned, to offer information, support and advice on preconception, pregnancy, babies and breastfeeding.

At BeyondFertility.com as well as the WholeFamilyHealth.com family of sites, we offer services and products that help with the journey to parenthood; before and after, up through the senior years.

Lori saw a kindred spirit and sold the business to me in 2006 and we have been blessed to share with you since then.  Our website InfertilityWorkshop.com has taken many many couples down the successful road to parenthood and now we are enjoying the same here as well.

InfertilityWorkshop.com carries its own story.  You can read about it there but basically, I came from a totally different place in our beginnings.  I suffered 7 miscarriages in between our 5 beautiful children.  I have never dealt with primary infertility or even secondary infertility but my sister did.  I was looking for answers, even though my faith caused me to trust God.  I just wanted to know how to help others going through what I was and to know if there was anything I was doing that was causing them.

Along with wanting to know why I was miscarrying so much and why my sister could not have a second child (this is called secondary infertility) I turned my eye to studying everything I could find on the subject of infertility, secondary infertility and miscarriages.  After I made connections and found answers, I went to the internet to share what I had found.  After all my doctor meant well but couldn't go outside of what he knew.  Infertility and secondary infertility is NOT what he knew.  I knew many other women would not find what they were / are looking for with allopathic (main stream medicine) doctors. 

While I searched, my sister tried the clomid, seraphene shots and it didn't take.  She had one more pregnancy that ended in an early miscarriage and that was all she ever knew.  By the time I was able to help her we found out that she was actually going into early menopause and in my studies beyond that time, we deduced that her body could not digest galactose - the sugar in milk - and commonly her eggs disintegrated. This is called Galactorrhea. That again, is another subject to read about at InfertilityWorkshop.com  Unfortunately, I was too late to help her but wanted to help others.  It is part of my make-up.

I won't be redundant here but suffice to say, Lori and I had much of the same understanding of infertility but different journeys.
